As per the official notification, the minimum age of the candidates must be 18 years when applying for the RRB Technician recruitment. The age of the candidates for the post will be calculated as of July 1, 2024. The minimum and maximum RRB technician age limits are shared below.

RRB Technician Age Limit Relaxation 2024

RRB Technician Educational Qualification 2024

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in the prescribed field or equivalent as the minimum RRB Technician educational qualification. The post-wise educational qualifications for the RRB Technician post are shared below.

Matriculation/ SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades of relevant streams.

RRB Technician Nationality 2024

Besides the age limit and other RRB Technician eligibility criteria, aspirants must possess nationality criteria when applying for the post. A candidate must be either:

(i) a citizen of India, or 

(ii) a citizen of Nepal, or

(iii) a subject of Bhutan, or

(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01.01.1962 to permanently settle in India, or

(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

(vi) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour the Government of India has issued a certificate of eligibility.
