UP Police Total Form Fill 2024: Cracking the UP Police Constable 2024 exam is expected to be more challenging this year, with approximately 50.14 lakh aspirants vying for 60,244 police constable vacancies as reported by senior police official.
The upcoming UP Police Constable 2024 examination, administered by the UPPRPB, is set to be held on February 17 & 18, 2024. This year’s competition is expected to be fierce due to an unexpected surge in applications. According to the statement given by a police officer to a leading news portal, a total of 50,14,924 candidates have registered for the UP Police Constable 2024 exam. Of these applicants, approximately 35 lakh are male candidates, while around 15 lakh are female candidates. This roughly translates to 8,324 candidates competing for each available position.

The reason behind this surge is the three-year age relaxation in the upper age limit. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad to extend the upper age limit to 25 years from 22 years, providing a chance to aspirants who could not participate in the recruitment process due to COVID-19.

“Around 20 per cent posts are for around 15 lakh women candidates as per reservation policy, so as many as -12,049 women will be recruited. And women will have tougher competition as there are 124 women for one post while men had merely 73 candidates for one post. Total 48,195 men to be recruited for the posts and around 35 lakh candidates have been applied for it,” a senior police officer told the leading news portal.

The board issued the UP Police Constable 2024 notification on December 23, 2023 to fill 60,244 Constable vacancies. Of these, 24,102 vacancies are announced for unreserved category, 6,024 are reserved for economically weaker sections (EWS), 16,264 for Other Backward Class, 12,650 for Scheduled Castes, and 1,204 for Scheduled Tribe. Aspirants will undergo a four-stage selection process: Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Document Verification, and Medical Test. The UP Police Constable exam date is February 17 & 18 and will consist of four sections with a total of 150 questions. Each question carries a weightage of 2 marks, and candidates must complete the entire exam within 2 hours.
