JEE Main 2024 Paper Analysis: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 is being organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from January 24 to February 1, for Papers 2A, 2B, and 1. Today, on 31 January NTA is conducting its second last JEE Main 2024 Session 1 examination in two shifts, Shift 1 and 2. As we all know, JEE Main is a computer-based test which means that the exam is conducted online. In such examinations, candidates do not receive a physical question paper and answer sheet, instead, they have to take the exam on computers. Thus, the paper analysis is not based on the analysis of the question paper. It is merely based on the reactions and opinions of the candidates. JEE Main 2024 Marking Scheme
By using the marking scheme attached below, students can calculate their final score after the release of the provisional answer key.
(a) For Multiple Choice Questions
- All the correct answers will be rewarded 4 marks
- All the incorrect answers will be marked as -1
- All the unattempted or marked-for-review answers will be marked as 0
- If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
- If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
- If none of the options were correct or if the question was wrong then 4 marks will be awarded to all the students irrespective of the fact that they attempted the question or not
(b) For Numerical Value Questions
- All the correct answers will be rewarded 4 marks
- All the incorrect answers will be marked as -1
- All the unattempted or marked-for-review answers will be marked as 0
- If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
- Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.
