  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple key initiatives for the cooperative sector on February 24, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. 
  • The Union Cabinet approved the amendment to the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) policy on the space sector. Under the newly amended FDI policy, 100% FDI is allowed in the space sector. It is expected that the FDI policy reform will lead to greater FDI inflows, thereby contributing to the growth of investment, income, and employment. 
  • The Cabinet Committee on Security approves a mega Navy deal for BrahMos missiles.
  • An avalanche, a rapid flow of snow on the slope of a mountain, hit Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. There was an avalanche warning as J&K recorded incessant rainfall and snowfall in the past few days. As per the reports, the avalanche struck the Kongdoori slopes, where many foreigners went without local residents.
